Role Purpose

 

The aim of the Logistics Manager is to ensure the Logistics Operations are optimum and compliant with legislation. The role will be responsible for evaluating operations performance and identifying strategies to help the continuous improvement journey.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

• Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders.

• Create and implement best practice solutions for logistics processes within operations.

• Identify optimal transportation methods on internal and external transportation within the supply chain.

• Support Continuous Improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies.

• Daily monitoring, evaluation, and analysis of site waste performance.

• Identify and implement environmental waste controls across site to help support journey to zero.

• Implement process controls for fleet management across all the sites: Forklifts, Company Cars/Vans, internal + external logistic movements.

• Identify and implement best practices that help support safety first culture.

• Leading workshops on optimization projects.

 

Experience Desired

 

• Experience in a similar role in a manufacturing/industrial setting.

• Experience working to production metrics and KPI’s.

• Experience with continuous improvement tools and techniques.

• Experience conduction root cause analysis.
